KESLA PHARMA WOLFEN GMBH again awarded by the DLG
Regular tests for consistent product quality in the product categories udder and claw hygiene as well as cleaning and disinfection agents - no complaints detected - products continue to meet the requirements for a DLG test mark
The company KESLA PHARMA WOLFEN GMBH from Bitterfeld-Wolfen (Germany) has successfully participated in the continuous product monitoring by the DLG in 2019. The evaluation of the inspection results by the DLG inspection committee did not result in any complaints, on the contrary: the DLG experts certified a consistently high product quality for all products. This means that in 2020 they will once again be allowed to advertise with one of the coveted DLG test marks DLG Quality Mark or DLG Quality Seal.
KESLA PHARMA WOLFEN GMBH participates in the DLG's continuous product monitoring with the following products:
From the product range of udder hygiene agents (DLG Quality Mark):
• Upersan® dip
From the product area of hoof hygiene agents (DLG Quality Seal):
• 1+1 Wofasteril® SC super
From the product range of cleaning agents and disinfectants for the dairy industry (DLG Quality Mark):
• 1+1 E Wofasteril® SC super
• Wofasteril® MZ
• Wofasteril® classic
Dr. Michael Eise, head of the department for testing operating resources at the DLG test centre, emphasises the importance of DLG tests for practice: "Continuous product monitoring within the framework of the DLG Quality Mark and DLG Quality Seal gives the farmers who use them the certainty that the products meet the requirements placed on them not only at the one-off time of an award test, but also in the long term, i.e. in subsequent production and distribution batches. In doing so, the DLG test ensures all important and practice-relevant criteria. This is particularly important for farmers who, as the starting point of the so-called 'food chain', can increasingly be held liable in the event of product recalls!"
Products awarded a DLG Quality Seal or a DLG Quality Mark clearly stand out from the crowd in terms of quality. A successfully passed DLG test confirms that a product meets the high quality criteria that a neutral and independent DLG test commission of volunteer experts has defined in a test framework. In the case of udder hygiene products, it is particularly important that a good skin care effect is achieved. It goes without saying that udder hygiene products with the DLG quality mark must not spread any mastitis pathogens, cause any inhibitors in the milk or contain any undesirable substances. DLG-approved hoof care and hygiene products must have sufficient disinfectant effectiveness, must not harm the animal and must not cause (cost-intensive) corrosion damage to galvanised steel and rubber walkway mats in the barn. These material compatibility properties - from a proven cleaning and/or disinfecting effect, the foaming behaviour and compliance with the specified formulation - also apply to cleaning and disinfecting agents in the dairy industry.
