Results of the annually control tests published - consistent product quality confirmed - Kesla products continue to carry DLG Quality Seal

The DLG Test Center for Technology and Farm Inputs (German Agricultural Society) has published the results of its 2022 annual product monitoring tests. Once again, Kesla Pharma Wolfen has successfully passed the quality check for its proven product

1 + 1 Wofasteril SC super

in the product category of hoof care and hygiene agents.

The product had already earned the DLG Quality Seal in the past by passing the comprehensive DLG award test – a procedure that goes far beyond mere marketability. The test criteria are defined by an independent and neutral panel of voluntary experts and confirm the product’s outstanding properties in terms of effectiveness, quality consistency and safety.

As part of ongoing quality control, the DLG draws product samples once a year directly from the manufacturer, from retailers or from farms to ensure consistent performance in the product's most relevant characteristics. In 2022, 1+1 Wofasteril® SC super again showed no grounds for complaint, confirming its high quality and continued eligibility to carry the DLG Quality Seal.

In cattle farming, around 50% of hoof diseases are caused by microbial infections. Disinfectant-based hoof care products like 1+1 Wofasteril® SC super play a key role in reducing pathogen levels on the hoof and thus lowering infection pressure.

The challenge: such products must be powerful against bacteria, yet gentle on the animals’ skin and hoof horn, and non-damaging to barn equipment. 1+1 Wofasteril® SC super achieves this balance with exceptional results.

Dr. Michael Eise, project manager for farm input testing at the DLG Test Center, summarizes the expectations clearly: “DLG-tested hoof care and hygiene agents must strike a balance between disinfection and the protection of animals and materials. Products bearing the DLG Quality Seal represent exactly this optimum – and clearly stand out in the market.”

Background:

The DLG QUALITY SEAL for operating resources

The DLG tests inputs such as fuels and lubricants, compound feed, silage additives, cleaning agents, disinfectants, udder hygiene agents, stable disinfectants, claw hygiene agents and fertiliser lime. After successful testing based on the high DLG standards, a DLG QUALITY SEAL is awarded. The quality specifications are based on practical requirements and correspond to the latest scientific findings. The DLG farm inspections provide the consumer with an orientation aid when buying and ensure the security of consistently high product quality. By participating in DLG equipment tests, a manufacturer therefore also commits to permanent neutral monitoring of the products by the DLG. For this purpose, trained samplers take and analyse unannounced monitoring samples annually at the manufacturer's or at the retailer's premises.
