Rescue service/disaster control - epidemic case
Use of Wofasteril® in the event of a disaster (animal epidemic / epidemic according to RKI)
Wofasteril® is our disinfectant peracetic acid for the agricultural and food industries, the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries with the following properties:

Wofasteril® + alcapur® combination method
For surface disinfection, it is recommended to use the Wofasteril®combination method with the addition of the liquid buffer additive alcapur® in the ratio: 1 part Wofasteril® + 3 parts alcapur®.
This procedure offers the advantage of low odour decontamination with inhibited corrosion without compromising efficacy (when applied immediately after preparation of the working solution).
epizootic disease
According to the Guideline on Agents and Procedures for the Implementation of Disinfection in Case of Certain Epizootics, FLI (as of March 2023):
1. Peracetic acid preparations with an active substance concentration of 0,4 % and an exposure time of 1 h are effective against all animal diseases mentioned in the guideline (except BSE, TSE and bee diseases) with an effective spectrum against bacteria and bacterial spores, viruses and fungi at temperatures between -40 and +21°C, in the minus temperature range with antifreeze.
| concentration | exposure time | |
| Wofasteril® | 1,0 % | 1 h |
2. DVG-listed preparations:
• for bacterial epizootics: Preparations from the DVG list (column 4a) which are registered as effective in the use concentration within 2 hours,
• for viral epizootics:
– in the case of enveloped viruses: agents from the DVG list (column 7b) which are registered as effective within 2 hours with doubling of their use concentration,
– in the case of non-enveloped viruses: agents from the DVG list (column 7a) which are registered as effective within 2 hours, doubling their use concentration.
can be used in the event of an epizootic.

Disaster / epidemic according to RKI
In the event of an epidemic according to the RKI, disinfection is carried out in accordance with the list of agents and procedures for disinfection tested and recognised by the Robert Koch Institute in accordance with § 18, Law on the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases in Humans.
